Merchant
Account
A merchant account is a "bank account" established
with a payment processor for the settlement of credit card
transactions. Any merchant who wants to take credit card
orders must establish a merchant account. Internet merchants
need a "Card Not Present Merchant Account."
Our preferred Merchant Account Provider
is CDG Commerce
CDGcommerce provides a full range of merchant
payment processing services covering every segment of the
industry. Their technology and expertise provides Internet/e-commerce
merchants with significant advantages. CDGcommerce's primary
area of expertise has always been Internet merchant processing.
Note
you must have both a Merchant Account and a Gateway Provider
in order to accept credit cards.
We recommend the combination of CDG Commerce
and Authorize.net to establish your merchant account and
set up a "virtual terminal" (required since the
card is not present).
Our preferred Gateway Provider is Authorize.Net
