Search
Engine and Directory Submission
There are basically two ways
your web site will be found on the web. The
first is that your customers and potential
customers will know about it from a business
card, brochure, advertisement or other promotional
item. The second is they will use a search
engine, type in some words and hopefully
your web site will appear in the first or
second page of results.
You can make the first
way happen by including your web address
on business cards, brochures,
flyers, newspaper and magazine ads, yellow
pages, stationary, answering machine recordings,
email signatures and promotional items. The
second way is up to us. Honestly, we can't
guarantee that you will be at the "top
of the list" on every result, but we
do have some pretty good success rates in
placement.
Our success lies in understanding how search
engines work. Anyone can submit a site to
a search engine, but to get good results
you need to understand that every search
engine looks at the web differently and organizes
(or indexes) web sites in a different manner.
We customize each submission in order to
achieve the best results.

Search engines
we submit to (additional charges may apply)
Alexa, All the Web, Altavista, AOL Search,
Ask Jeeves, Google, Hotbot, Jayde, Lycos,
MSN, Netscape, Open Directory Project, Overture, Teoma,
WebCrawler,
Yahoo.
Warning: Some
web developers claim to submit to anywhere
between 100 and 1,000 search
engines. The fact of the matter is, there
just aren't that many search engines. Most
of these "100 or more search engines" are
web sites set up to capture email addresses
for resale on mailing lists. We only submit
to real search engines and we do it individually.
It takes more time but the results are worth
it.
Note: Increasingly search engines are charging
for premium placement in their search results
and some have stopped accepting free submissions
entirely. We can give you the latest prices
for search engine submission and recommendations. |
